Why Do Users Edit ASN Values?

The ASN serves as an essential document for tracking shipment details, including product, packaging, and shipping information. In certain scenarios, users may need to update or modify ASN values to maintain accuracy or accommodate changes in shipment plans. Common reasons include:

  • Updating the Ship ID/ASN Number: Adjustments to shipment identifiers may be necessary to align with system updates or error corrections.

  • Assigning or Unassigning Firm Orders: Users might need to assign or unassign firm orders to/from a shipment, depending on changing priorities or inventory availability.

  • Managing Outer Containers and Serial Numbers: This involves assigning or unassigning outer containers with associated container serials to/from a shipment.

  • Working with Outer Container and Orders: They might want to assign or unassign orders to/from an outer container.

  • Adding Comments to Shipment Records: It provides additional context or instructions by entering comments directly into the Packing List Comments tab.

Why Do Users Edit INVOICE Values?

Invoices are critical for financial reconciliation and compliance. Users often need to make changes to invoice values to reflect updated charges, allowances, or taxes. Common reasons include:

  • Adding or Modifying Allowances/Charges or Tax

  • Assigning a configured Allowance or Charge
