Logging out of TrueAuto is an important part of security. When you hit the “Logout” button, it will immediately end the application session, prompting anyone who attempts to access the account to log in using the proper credentials.
Why should you always use the "Logout" button?
Closing your screen without actually logging out of your account is like leaving your wallet on the dashboard of an unlocked car. Considering all the information you keep on the Internet, the consequences of an improper logout are often more troubled than a stolen wallet.
Taking the time to properly exit your online accounts is very important because there are risks associated with not logging out.
Your files, documents, and information could be deleted or ruined.
Your customer sensitive information could get stolen.
Your password could be changed without your knowledge.
Your account could be hacked.
Your online identity could be impersonated.
Log out of TrueAuto
As simple of a concept as it may seem, it is important for users to know how to properly log out of TrueAuto. Clicking the X in the upper-right corner of the browser does not ensure that you are appropriately logged out of the platform.
To prevent others from being able to have access to your TrueAuto user account, click the My Account arrow in the upper-right corner of the page, then select Logout.
NOTE: The Logout option will always remain on the TrueAuto page, no matter where your TrueAuto tours may take you.
